About Us

Blueberry Hill Farm is now 13 years old. A great deal has changed since Fred and Melinde Leport (my mom and dad), bought the property in 1996. Dad and Mom planted roughly 1000 Northern Highbush blueberries, asparagus- both green and delicious purple, a small apple-peach-pear orchard, and a few bee hives.  Mom and Dad no longer live permanently on the property. That’s their R.V. you see parked next to the barn. Ahh! Retirement does have its perks doesn’t it?
Today we reap buckets of blueberries and have a U-Pick available. Our asparagus planting has tripled and does quite well at the local market. Through trial and error and pesky weather we have 5 bee hives with 5 more coming this spring. Local, unadulterated honey is absolutely the best! If you didn't get any of our honey this year you missed out! It was terrific!!
My family has taken over the daily running of Blueberry Hill Farm, I am their daughter Kristi. My husband Alan & I, and sons Moses & Aaron love farm life.
Desiring to stay busy year round we’ve added brown-egg laying chickens, Nubian dairy goats and in 2007 for the first time pumpkins and gourds.  2009 brought pastured chicken and turkey. The chicken will continue in 2010 but will begin later in the year.

Blueberry Hill Farm will always remain pesticide free. This means that you can eat the berries right from the bush and asparagus straight out of the dirt.
Our goal is always to have clean, fresh food…”Nothing tastes better than Fresh.

Stop by… we are looking forward to meeting you!

Unfortunately, this March 2009, my mom lost her battle with Alzheimer Disease.  Her desire to have clean food, no pesticides, and plenty of wildlife will remain our focus.

Thanks Mom for a great start!
